Hey,

I am going away to Spain in a few days for a European trackday(s) and figured a tablet would be great to use rather than a laptop.
I could do with saving my videos from my GoPro to the device with an SD card is this possible with a tablet?

If so any recommendations? I could (will) do a quick Google search but i usually get a better answer or idea from here :D

Cheers

What's your budget?

edit: Just realised you mess a full size sd card rather than micro sd? Don't recall any having that but most can use an sd card reader via their usb port.

The Dell Latitude 10 has a full size SD. They do some cheap ones on the Outlet store (under £300) and they're pretty decent devices. Mine only went back because it didn't have the 3G card it was supposed to have. Now I'm waiting for a Venue Pro 11, but that has a micro SD slot, annoyingly. Another cable/converter to remember!

Outlet deliveries seem to take quite a while though; mine took over a fortnight.

This idea doesn't work in practice. It is much cheaper to buy more SD cards or bigger ones than it is to buy a tablet to copy them too.

16GB SD card
use for a hour or so in the GoPro
copy contents to tablet.
Tablet full
Doh!

I got the impression it was to play the videos back on the tablet rather than use the tablet to store them all to free the card up.

Thanks for the replies.

Its a bit of both, storing 1 or 2 videos would free up some space for any extra videos in case i fill the 4sd cards i already have (sorry yes a full size SD reader would be better for this reason). Also I am looking for an excuse to get a tablet for on the move, but yes to view the videos i didn't even think about that! ha.

Thanks

Asus transformer tablets have full size slots in the keyboard. The new version running Tegra 4 and 1600p screen looks good.
