Tabletop games for younger kids?

Someone in another thread recommended HeroKids as a DnD type game very easy might be a bit beyond a 3 year old though. I did this a few years ago when mine were 5 and 6 and they enjoyed it but got my wife to play as well just to help things along. I play KingDomino but honestly that's beyond a 3 year old but maybe a 5 year old could manage.
I've played a few games with story cubes and another easier one with mixed story cards where you pick a card tell a story then the next person picks a card and continues the story. This is fun with small kids and helps with language skills and confidence.

Stuffed Fables may be suitable, it has a story and some items to discuss with kids at the end. The 5yr old should enjoy it, the 3yr old is borderline though due to some content (thinking stuffed toys coming alive at night and fighting lost toys trying to steal their stuff)

Playmobil. Not table top I know. But just play at that age.
Snakes and ladders - a game of 100% luck. You can all play 'equally'. Saves you having to bung it.

Even the ludo and Frustration type games are a bit ott for that age. IMHO.

You should ask him to try Cooking Crush. Best cooking game I've ever played. In this game, He's gonna learn to supervise his time and work jointly. He will explore a hidden culinary specialist in himself by playing this game. He can partake in the events and challenges. You must ask him to play this game to improve his time management skills.
Bad bot - no one wants to play Cooking Crud. Bat bot.

Dungeons & Dragons: Adventure Begins

Might work. Community recomens yrs 6+
its a dice roller for the ost part, and they can articulate some actions

Then you could progress them on to : Dungeons & Dragons-Fantasy-Adventure board game
if they enjoyed it.
maybe

Or the Hero quest Games
people seem to think this is slightly less complicated

both have expansiosn either being re-printed or currently avaialble.

Plus painting the Mini could be a good way to relax as a family and do create other opatunities for hobby activities.

i kinda wish i didnt stop playing board games the convineance of computer games has ruined board games for me a little.

you also have the when a bit older:
Dungeons & Dragons: The Legend of Drizzt Board Game
probably the easist of them orignal 3 due to powerfull charactors. Probably to advanced for the 3yr old unless guided
