So I could do with a Tablet, as going away with work and will be handy for browsing the web etc.

I've had a look about and it seems the Nexus 10 is the best at the moment? Well for price:goodness.

Anything else worth looking at?

I wouldn't touch the N10 anymore not brand new anyway it's very outdated compared to what's around now.

Love my Z1 so assuming the Z2 keeps all the good bits and improves on the bad it should be a great tablet.

Sorry should have said, I really don't want to spend much more than £200~. Will probably only use it for 6months.

I dont see the point of 7" tablet. They just seem too small a jump if you have a decent sized phone. 10"+ all the way.

Seems like you want a portable tablet for work and web browsing?

Need data or wifi only will do?

As you have a Note 3, I guess you don't want anything below a 8" screen.

16GB iPad 3 for sub £300 would be a good bet.

LG G Pad 8.3" for £200 is also decent if you want to save more money (or perhaps wait to see if Google will do an 8" tablet)

And perhaps a Windows tablet? Asus Transformer?

I own a Note 3 and a Nook HD+ purely for comic book viewing (9" 1080p display with SD card storage for like £140 was basically a comparable thing to my Kindle paper white at £109) and never saw the need for a tablet. If I were to get one... I'd probably go for a convertible. Asus or Lenovo. Most likely Windows.

I would be tempted by the LG G Pad 8.3. There's a GPe version as well so you can flash the ROM if you don't like LG's UI, but I've heard it's tricky to do compared to other GPe devices.

OP if you can get get a Nexus 10 for £200 then go for it. Otherwise I think you're going to struggle to get what you want. Though you can get an iPad for about £360 if yuo hunt about. Use it for six months, sell it for £280...

I bought an LG G Pad 8.3 for £200
Its my first tablet and I find that it satisfies my needs but I am also glad that I didnt spend any more.

+ves
1080p screen spec is nice
Size and form factor I find comfortable to use for browsing and reading (kindle replacement)
Android app store is comprehensive and I have android phone
Cheap cover from the rainforest works well
Processor seems to have enough grunt to do anything I need

The screen quality is not perfect but I hardly notice it now despite it annoying me at first
At 8.3 inches it still doesnt approach the level of comfort for long web browsing sessions that my defunct 15" laptop did
Battery life is acceptable but well short of Kindle fires, Apple Ipads

I am using it mostly in the house and the wifi performance is very good. All in all for £200 I think its fine. For me 10" is too big to use comfortably in one hand for reading but you still cant beat a nice laptop for all round.

Thats one of the big positives IMO about the Xperia Z1/2 tablets - unless you have tiny hands they are easy to hold with 1 hand due to the light weight and omnibalance design coupled with the slim form factor and slightly rubberised back.

I took delivery of an Asus Transformer Book today. Really quite impressed with it. Certainly it isn't the 'best' tablet on the market today, but there's definitely a certain appeal to having Windows at your fingertips, and it is hella powerful. I had Project Spark running on it earlier. I quite fancy giving Civ V a go this evening as it has native touch support.

It's quite amazing to think how far technology has moved on in just a few years. I'm finding myself mentally comparing this machine to the Netbooks or four or five years ago - the difference is stunning. We're actually finally at the point where a computer can be small, cheap, powerful and portable, with minimal compromises.
