Hi guys,
I was using Windows Vista 64bit and by simply changing my multiplyer etc I could overclock my computer much higher.

Now I installed windows 7 64bit and even if i change the multiplyer or anything by 0.5% it doesn't boot the computer which I find very weird because it was fine with Vista.

I'm using
M61PME-S2P motherboard.
+
7850 black edition 2.8ghz

I overclocked my e5200 with vista then installed win 7 on a new disk, booted windows 7 @3.5ghz...

Your operating system will not have any kind of effect on the stability of your overclock unless your overclock was unstable in the first place. Did you prime your clock?

Yeah I did on vista it was fine,
I'm saying that on W7 I can't even increase the mhz or anything by 1. A 0.01% increase on anything means it wouldn't boot into w7

I just moved over to Win7 myself, and I am loving it so much!!

No problems with overclocking here neither on my rig.. infact I would go as far to say that Win7 X64 seems to be more stable than Vista, for me anyway..

I much prefer W7 over Vista Ultimate that's for sure!!!

I really don't understand why you aren't able to o/c at all with 7 yet you can under Vista though...
