I just wanted to know if any one has seen this film just wanted to know if any one else cried at the end its such an amazing film a true masterpiece. If you havent seen it please watch it and let me know what you thought.

I cried... right at the very end.

It is a good reminder that all soldiers are sons... brothers... husbands/boyfriends etc.

Cracking film, although the story was a bit far fetched in places.

edit - called "brotherhood" for uk release. Which isn't a translation or taegukgi - which is the flag of South Korea.

We get it as Brotherhood of War in oz?

Either way a good watch, let done by lazy subtitles though :( It peeves me a bit when they don't bother translating some of the more simple words properly, it detracts from the experience of the film to much!

But this film shows the grim side of war very well, graphically and often and without holding any punches!

I got this film at the urging of my friend whose opinion is normally very similar to mine. This time, however, our opinions were way off. He thought it was one of the finest war movies ever made. I thought it better than ok, but nothing really special.

It had a 20-30 minute section at the end which would have been removed entirely and made the movie much better. It was far too contrived at points and had some silly bits which just made me want to pull my hair out. Some of the action was pretty brutal, though, so that's a good point (and it went on for ages! :)). And even with subtitles, I thought the main bloke seemed a decent actor (unlike a some of the rest of the cast!).
