Looking to maybe get one of these for my new setup, fairly cheap too, any opinions on it?

It would be used for running something like:

955BE
gtx460/5850
SSD/HDD/The usual things.

From what I can gather it's fairly good quality and pretty snazzy looking, but if I trusted only my own opinion I wouldnt be on here and would have broken many parts and wasted much money :D

Cheers guys!

you will only need a 500-600 power supply. 800w is overkill unless your thinking of an upgrade/SLI/crossfire

Im running a 955 with a 460 on the antec truepower new which is 650w. Even that is slightly too much for my uses but it leaves room for if i wanted to upgrade.

If it was cheaper than the 2 above by a little bit, which is better spent on a graphics card given my tight budget, and I liked the look of it quite a lot too, would you say its good enough quality to go with some nice new parts?

Really appreciate the input as always guys,

:/ So I see! thanks for looking that up for me, but it also says there

"we saw the BZ800 do considerably better" And they gave it a silver award.

Could you give me your opinion on the 800w, considering like I say it will save me a little money, but at the same time I definately don't want to jeapordise my parts with a poor quality psu.

Ps: You have to admit it looks good, right?

Reasons why? The Bz is Modular too!

I know it looks like im arguing, but I'm really not, I respect your opinion and realise you know 1000x more than me, I just want to make an informed decision.

I just decided to google the price of the psu!!! that cant be right? £150ish!!!!!!!

how much have you seen it for?

I know, and it seems like it's not sold by many places either!

It's a used one and I'm looking to pay £50 which is the same as what I'd get the bequiet for after delivery.

anyway, want to give me some pro's/cons?

Seems more appealing after seeing the RRP? though it's probably an illusion.

well for a start is there any warranty with it being used?

the last Tagan that I believe OCUk sold killed systems.

ahhh,, beaten by a minute.

Ok you've convinced me out of it haha, probably the right decision. Now I don't get a shiny one though!! :( :( But like you say warranty and reliability are important factors.

Big thanks for all the help guys.. 'Specially Stulid as always. You must really enjoy PC hardware to do what you do so much.

Quite suprised by that, thought Tagan were generally pretty good. Just had a look for other reviews of the 800W model and it does seem quite highly rated, however unless you're buying from a trusted seller and you know you'll get some warranty support (or at least proof of purchase) then I'd generally stay away from 2nd hand PSUs.
