Tagan PSU

So I was looking to place an order for my new PSU last night and asked my brother if he wanted me to order his.

He tells me his boss gave him a Tagan 1100w PSU never used. I've not heard of this brand, so had a quick Google search and they were rated quite well a while back (reviews I found were 2006-7.)

I was just wanting to know if it's OK to use for todays PC parts?

Tagan's had a habit of just blowing for no reason several years ago, no idea what they're like now.

Thanks for the link, I've added a couple of pictures to the original post.
The PSU he was given is from the turbojet series, which I checked and is unfortunately not listed.
