Not sure if this is the right place as was unable to see a PSU section.
Has anyone here had any need to use tagans PSU warranty procedure in the uk, ( it appears they use some place called nanopiont for repairs )
Reason i ask is that my tagan 480-u01 PSU which i origonally purchased from OC.uk has just gave up the ghost.
And may a say it went out in style with a loud bang / and lovely burning smell.
The only good news is that it still has 2 days of its 36 months warranty left.:eek:
So i have Filled out an RMA form via the nanopoint webby and thought i would as here if anyone had dealings with tagans RMA , and also if u think they will hmm and haa about the 36month warranty actually just expiring on the day that they reopen for buisness on monday :o:o

I dont know about tagan personally, but I thought my nebula digiTV card gave up the ghost 1 day before it was due to expire on its warranty. So I instantly requested an RMA and they issues me an RMA code - although it wasn't faulty in the end (tested it on another PC myself).

I sent my Tagan 480 to nanopoint only for them to tell me that i had voided my warranty by removing the cover, something that i never did. I didn't have a leg to stand on and they refused to work on it. If i wanted the psu back i would have to pay £8 i think to get it back. I didn't pay and after 3-4 months the psu arrived back and refubished.

about a year ago they replaced a 380w for me after a about 3 years of ownership no recpit etc

shouldnt be a problem TBH

I got my tagan RMAd from them in about december.

Terrible response to e-mails etc. Sent it off in end december or early jan this year, and was really hoping that it would get fixed in a few days since I needed comp back online. Got no response to asking for an estimate of time it would take. Week later sent off another email asking what the hell was happening to it. Few days of no response and then posted on the forum. No response their either.

Following that, I think I sent off another email saying "its been 2 weeks, where the hell is it, etc. etc." and i had sent my psu to them through recorded delivery so knew that it had reached them within a few days. (not sure if I sent this email or jsut thought about it) but a couple of days later, brand new PSU just showed up, lol

Replaced with a newer model though, which was ace. So decent on that end, but horrible at getting in touch with you. (I didn't call cause the line costs something like 50p per minute or something)

Finally got a response to my forum post last month :p lol

I recently rma'd my tagan 530 easycon through nanopoint. initial responce and email quieries were responded to quickly. I did email them a week later after i tracked that they had recieved the parcel from me but got no reply. so in this intstance, there support team is a bit hit n miss. I am happy however as a week later a brand new easycon 580 turned up ;)

my tagan 480w died last week, 2 weeks left on the warranty :D so am going to send it back.

Whats their turnaround like? will i have to wait long? Sent my corsair ram back last year when 1 stick failed and the replacements were with me within 10days which i thought was superb :)
