Tagging mp3's?

Is there an easy way to tag mp3's without going to each file individually and editing the tag?

depends, do the file names contain all the data?
If not then use music brainz.
If they do wait for someone else to recommend a program.

Bit of a mixture really, some do some don't.

i've always used mp3tag, does what it says on the tin and a lot of nice automated features like taking the info from the file name and splitting it into the tags... i.e. if you have a file named "Green Day - Dookie - 01 - Burnout.mp3" (for example) then you tell it to convert file name to tag and use the line "%artist% - %album% - %track% - %title%.mp3" and it will use your formula to populate the tags

also works vice versa but does loads of other cool stuff too...

best of all tis nice and free

you could also try... and this one is scarey... winamp 5.5! which now has a built in mp3 retagger

tag&rename has never failed me

you rename files based on tags, and can rename tags based on filenames
