Taito Egret 2 Mini Acrcade System

Didn't see a thread about this, and I've only just became aware of this, but Taito are going to be releasing a Mini Egret 2 arcade cabinet, in a similar vein to the Neo Geo Arcade and Sega Astro City Mini Arcade.

Comes with 40 games built in with 10 additional games on an SD card if you buy the optional trackball controller. 5:4 screen which has the ability to pull the screen out and change it from horizontal view to vertical view. Looks like it might be slightly bigger than the Sega Astro City Mini.

Looking at about £130 from either Amazon Japan or Play Asia, just for the arcade cabinet itself. If you want the full package which is the arcade cabinet, the trackball controller with 10 extra games, a mini controller, and an arcade style controller, for £330.

Expected March 2022. Unsure of a Western release or not.

nice idea but would have been much more interested if the games were more like street fighter / mortal kombat / killer instinct

Saw this before on Youtube it looks amazing, I'm still wanting to get an Astro City Mini, had one on order recently that they never got stock for, so may well grab this on release, the flip screen alone for shooters I think will make this highly collectible, could potentially be modded to play all types of arcade games especially with the optional trackball, but I'll likely keep mine as is.

Seems a lot extra money for the full pack with the controllers though, still tempting.

I have them both, the Astro City Mini is pretty good, well built and good emulation, this looks very similar so hopefully maybe the same manufacturer is doing this one too; should be good if it is.
