Take advantage of cheap ram prices?

Hi, I recently spec'd, bought and built a new PC with the help of OcUK (thread here) and went for this memory...

Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2-6400C4 TwinX (2x1GB)

..when it cost a fair bit more than that. :(

I've got the urge to splurge again (oncall at the moment and did a 14 hour day of overtime on Saturday :( ) and was thinking of taking advantage of the currently v.low ram prices. So was thinking of doing one of the following...

1). Buy 2x512mb of the same ram bumping me up to 3GB. Would this still work ok and give me dual channel?

2). Buy the same kit again, bumping me up to 4GB. I am running XP x64 so that should be ok.

3). Ditch the ram I have and go for 2GB of some faster/better ram.

4). Do nothing and look for something else to buy. Trouble is that if I do this I may be tempted to get a new gfx card and I've promised myself to hold of until Crysis is out.

thanks!

fyi, I am running a bit of an overclock at the mo. Mem is currently running at 1000mhz 5-5-5-15 timings.

wait a few weeks when the new 4gb 4,4,4,12 kits come.. they will come thats why 2gb kits are so cheap... also ddr3 is comig but that will be 12 months before thats real mainstream

why do you need more than 2GB?

I don't need more than 2GB but I've got the spending bug after doing so much overtime and like the prices on ram atm. Do you think it'd be a total waste then?

hmm may be. Though if I'm having trouble justifying why I need more than 2GB I can't see myself needing more than 4GB so was thinking I may as well fill the mobo with 4x1GB dimms. Think it's a bit soon to think about ddr3 for me as that'll need a new mobo etc(?)

Maybe I'll look at 2gb of something faster or save a bit more for something else.
