Take my collection of movies and create a list of all my movies?

I have 500 movies on my PC. Is it possible to create a word document with a full list of all my movies?

Just so I know what movies I have and need to buy, without having to boot my pc and manually search.

assuming all your movies are in one place
though could do it multiple times if needed for
different locations
open the folder your movies are in
press alt + d keys together/at same time
type cmd and press enter
in the black cmd box that opens copy this
dir > files_and_folders.txt /b
and paste it in
by right clicking or by ctrl + v
press enter
you will get a text file in the folder your movies are in
listing them all alphabetically
