Thinking of doing this as a bit of cash on the side along my job at the moment, however I am not too familiar with the area, although i have a sat nav would just like to know if anyone is doing deliveries as such and is it fairly easy with a sat nav. I have a TomTom all in one smallish 1, used it for going lakeside ect.. but not to certain addresses.

Thanks

West used to do it, and i think SB118s mrs. If you like your car its generally considered to be a bad idea as its like using it as a taxi and will put a lot of wear and tear on it.

and your tom tom will be lacking any new builds as well,

best bets an uptodate a-z forhte local area :)
i'm a taxi driver in Glasgow and despite having a tomtom with the latest maps and a bloody good local knowledge i never leave home without the trusty bible(a-z)

My friend did it for a while (years ago) and while the perks of free food were OK he didn't make a lot of money at it, also after a while you car permanently smells like a takeaway. Might be different if the place is busy enough and you get the good nights. These days I would not fancy going up some close and either leaving car outside with the cash in it or carrying the cash with me.

Not many insurance companies insure takeaway drivers, so it's not good in that respect. That and very high rate of wear and tear.

Its a fairy low crime area, Dont really hear of that around here so I dont think that would be a big problem might give it a try the weekend.

Thanks guys

My local pizza place offered me a job doing it but I refused simply because I didn't want my car stinking and the wear and tear and increased insurance just wasn't worth it.

So and A to Z will have the new buildings on

I'd of thought a TomTom with its frequent updates would be the better option. With those updated maps I sent you you should be sorted as well ;)

I did it for a few months whilst working part time for Venture as a side job for extra cash. I did it for dominos and had no issues other than for my poor Civic at the time for having being stop/started like 30 times a night!!!

Unless you live in a really nice area or are a known person your satnav will get nicked out of your car, unless you take it with you which gets very annoying. Aslong as you know the main streets its easy to do!
