Takes a minute at POST

Any ideas why my computer is waiting on POST for like 30seconds before it boots sometimes it just lasts like 1second other times its there for 30 seconds...?

Sounds like it is hunting for devices not there.

Disable everything you don't use in the BIOS such as serial ports etc.

I unplugged my USB hard disk and now it boots fine. weird?

I have similar issues, with my USB card reader plugged in it freezes at the bios screen. But boots fine with it unplugged

But sometimes its fine... oh well
