takes ages to load 'my computer'

Can't you just use the HP PhotoSmart drivers as installed by Windows Update? I have a PhotoSmart 8250 and just plugged in the USB. Went to Windows Update, installed the driver (which doesn't come with the HP bloat) and voila. My Computer loads instantly, and I have full functionality of the printer still.

EDIT - That's under Vista Ultimate 64bit BTW.

OIC, ill uninstall printer drivers and do what u said, let you know how it goes when i get round to doing it
