Taking a bank transfer, which information to disclose?

Hi all, I am soon to make an online transaction in which I am going to recieve money via a bank transfer, and I need to know which information I should give the person sending me money.

Am I right in thinking that it is just my Sort Code & Account Number?

The same you'd give out with a cheque, so sort code and account number. Name isn't neccesary, but it's sometimes given anyway.

Sort code and account number is strictly all you require, but it can be useful to say which bank it is, if the other person wants to pay in cash at a branch as an alternative.
