We have Windows 2000 based AD domain.
I have noticed more and more over the last few months that when on a PC on the network, I right click and go into the security tab to view the permissions on the folder or file, then it takes anything up to 5 minutes for it to display all the info.
They all appear as the SID first and slowly but surely will update to show the names.
This also happens when I go to add a new user in to the permissions list, clicking Add, brings up the window, but then takes ages to load the list of users.
Anyone know why this might be? am guessing it could be network related, but then I could be wrong?
