Taking flowers on a flight?

I'm off to Holland at the weekend to see my lady friend

Kept that one quiet you sly beggar. :p

Oh and this is how you should do it according to my stepdad (who works for a floral distributor)

Wet several paper towels and wind them around bottom of the stem and then wrap the stems and wet paper towels with plastic wrap go around several times so that the water doesn't drip out. You can then put it in a sandwich bag and zip it up as much as you can. You'll have to put them on the scanner at security but put them on one of the big plastic tubs that the have as you go through security and they will be fine.

Thread title is misleading, should be Flower (singular) Have an awesome weekend. Dutch girls mmm!

I don't think thhey will mind. Besides many airlines coming back from Islas Canarias don't mind people with flowers and plants.

Ironically the rose was probably flown into the country on a plane the day before.
We import a huge amount of cut flowers from Africa.

Global warming, yay.

I've been to Holland loads of times though & I go to Icelands for my frozen meals, Does that count ?

Getting off a plain in Holland with a bunch of flowers is like getting off at Amsterdam & bringing your own weed. :p

Its not really like taking your own weed to Amsterdam. since im guessing about 99% of florists buy their flowers from Holland.
