I haven't taken food into work since I have worked in the city (for around 10 years) but I am currently trying to save a bit of money and eat healthier for lunch. I realise saving money will not be possible on my current daily lunch budget - £6

I always have a coffee mid morning which is £1.50 and spend around £1.50 on fruit and something like cottage cheese, leaving £3 for a pasta pot, fruit and drink

If I just have the coffee and take food in this leaves £22.50 for the week

Please recommend some healthy lunch options, so far on list for today I have the following

chicken (3 packs for £10)
eggs (18) - £3
brown pasta £1
tomatoes £1
sweet potatos ~£2
tuna - already have
rice - already have
brocolli - already have
bananas - £1.50
apples - £1.50
salad bits - £2
balsamic vinegar - already have

Thanks guys, we do have a microwave at work so soup is a good idea

Also, Ill have a look for some fajita wraps / pitta bread

Just come back and here's what ive got

mushrooms
bananas
apples
lettuce
peppers
young leaf spinish
sweetcorn single cob x3
corn tortillas
x lean mince steak
chicken fillets
chicken fillets
large free-range eggs x18

£22.63
eggs were reduced to clear so saved £1 on each 6
3 for £10 on chicken and mince

Should be able to have some decent chicken salads, wraps and home made burgers.

Already got rice, pasta, tomatoes, some eggs and tuna so will mix up with that and maybe have soup for 1 day. I am at the gym everyday mon - fri so hammering through eggs at the moment

Above is within budget for the week (well out by 13p) but provides a lot better meals than I have been eating and wont need to buy much mid week food either (maybe just milk and eggs)
