Ilkeston FC Vs Stafford Rangers - Northern League Premier Division.

Keeping it real :)

Should be a good experience for them I think. I personally think it is good that they see the game at all levels and not just the "glitz" of the Premier league and all the **** that comes with it.

Standing behind the goal on the terraces, freezing to death on a Saturday afternoon. Ahhh, the memories.

Sounds fun!

It should prepare your kids the real adult language at football if theres not many people to drown it out :p

This was exactly what I was going to post, at Highbury and Emirates there was adult languaged used frequently and by me (I just say the f word a lot, not really at anyone or in a nasty way) and there isn't usually young kids around, but one game this dad turned up with his little kid for his first game, and the whole section noticed, passed the word around to try and keep it clean and it was 90 mins of dozens of adults stopping themselves mid swearing and mouthing sorry to the dad over and over, it was really pretty hilarious over all and the dad was mostly laughing it off.

Its somewhat expected I guess... good natured swearing is something I don't really see as a problem, its when you get vile idiots spewing hate and using swear words mixed with racial or really nasty comments that I wouldn't want a kid anywhere near those people.

Ear plugs might be an idea ;)
