*Update(2): I'm just going to leave the side panels off for awhile, and if it doesn't happen again we'll know whether it's something to do with the cables being taught or not.*
*Update: Machine abruptly switched off a moment ago, I wasn't taking off the side panel this time. Front panel power button wouldn't turn it back on, had to unplug PSU cable and plug it back in for the computer to power on again. Bit concerned.*
I was taking off the 'back' side panel of an Antec P182, and the machine turned off. I must've moved the PSU cables in the process, which is a OCZ StealthXStream 2, bought the other day (hence my concern), but the machine turning off??? I unplugged it and plugged it back in and it seems okay now.
Do you think this indicates a problem with the PSU? The ATX, CPU, PCI-E cables were all safely clipped in still.
To clarify about the case, the PSU cables running around the back are a tight fit, you literally have to brute force the side panel on in the name of cable management, so it's obvious the cables were shunted out of position when removing the panel.
