Up to now I have been using Jpeg and I have been seeing on this forum a lot of you use Raw. If I do go over to Raw how quickly can it be to convert all raw files to Jpeg?

A matter of seconds. I process mine in Photoshop but other people use Rawshooter, Aperture etc. I prefer Photoshop as I usually edit files straight after.

Here's what it looks like in PS when you open RAW files:

As you can see you can adjust various options (either for each file or alter them all at the same time) - then just click open (or save, if you want) and that's it.

I use Lightroom to edit my RAW files, You can organise and edit whole folders quickly. I tend to batch convert the RAW's to .Tiff and .Jpeg once I've processed them, and then do any final tweaking in Photoshop before printing or putting them on the net.

I use Capture NX to tweak the RAW files, then save as tif for printing in CS2 or save as jpg if im putting them on flickr.

That update is excellent! cheers for that.

Bridge annoys me, I don't like the fact that I have to load up an app that is essentially a jumped up version of explorer.

When browsing my raw files with Picassa2, they are all pink/purple! Does anyone else have this issue?

I don't process them with Picassa but I use it for browsing through my piccies quickly so it is not really a major issue but a pain if I want to quickly view the picture.

**edit** T'is a known problem with Picassa, unresolved for at least 6 months or more
