im wondering if there are any tips for cleaning a keyboard, water will be needed, or a way that ican remove the keys safely for me to clean under the dirty ones.

thanks guys

With most of my keyboards (laptops + logitech/microsoft kb) I can just lever the keys off.

Handy hint just incase you keybaord is anything like mine... My keyboard I managed to snap the little plastic hook under the space bar:

So don't just yank the space bar up, theres a little metal bar on mine which goes underneath a plastic hook. If you yank the space bar right up, the little plasic hook comes with it :p So just pop it up then carefully take it off.

that metal bar is so that the whole bar depresses evenly, irrespective of where it is pressed.

now, if i ever needed to pop the keys off my Logitech UltraX...

Hehe yeah, since I broke the plastic hook on mine the bar doesn't sit properly and only the right-hand side of the space bar works :p Wish I was more careful! I had done it so many times before I just got a bit cocky and snapped it off

i used my screwdriver to pop the keys up like suggested. luckily i didnt break the space key. still kind of smells creamy so may have to clean it with soap tomorrow.

again thanks
Might clean mine up tomorrow. :]

Nah it's the actual keyboard that the little plastic hook is on, not the spacebar :(

Still I'm not too bothered, I *should* be getting my new rig today/tomorrow/friday so there's not much point making a fuss about it :D (was hoping to get it yesterday but ah well maybe today if im lucky).
