Taking the plunge, help required!

Im off to uni in a couple of weeks and the laptop i have decided to be my companion shall be the 13" Macbook pro. This will, however, be my first purchase of a mac, and was wondering if anyone could give me some advice as to what extras i should get to go with it etc.

I get a HE discount as well, but i hear that over the phone some people have had success in getting lower prices? Is this true? If so what should i try and haggle down to?

It is impossible to haggle Apple for prices, there is their price and that is it unfortunately.

I figured by "extras" you meant applications. If not, please ask specifically the next time and I'm sure you'll get recommendations being posted in this thread!

This, but you may be able to get a discount on a case or some apps, depends on the store/person.
