It can be compared to a dancing bear. Albeit, the monkey isn't on a hotplate.

I dunno. I don't dispute it could be cruel and that may well be the case here. On the other hand, monkeys are very smart and love to play and interact. Maybe he's well taken care of, enjoys his "work" and gets all the bananas he can eat
