Well this is mainly directed at Fifa world cup 06, I have been working through the global challenge to get the last 500points and to say its frustrating would be a understatement.

I have got through all the main ones and 6 out of 7 of the finals, the last one standing in the way of finishing it is the Sweden Vs Brazil game, you are 4-2 down and have to get at least 2 goals to take it to extra time.

The best bit about it is that the game starts 80mins in  so even if in 1958 Sweden did get 2 goals in the last 10 minutes of play it equals to you getting about 45 seconds of game time to do this evil task.

I mean the game just takes the micky, I have done the extremly hard "Scotland the brave" and others which really did push me to the limit but to pull the game mentioned above to 4-3 and to be running in to score the equaliser only to be hacked down by the computer, then for them to stick 10 men in front of goal takes it to new limits.

I havent actually ever threw a controller in a rage but a door once did get a bit of a tanning which my dad wasnt too impressed about, so if you have done this task and feel like sharing some tips or have a tale about a annoying game or broken pad then post away.

Plenty of annoying games :(

Amped 3 is really winding me up at the moment with some of it's 'challenges' that seem absurdly hard on just the first mountain :(

Then of course there is the hell thats is NBA 2K6 and having the xbox run rings around you whilst you can do nothing but give away fouls :(

Plenty of games have made me angry in the past, but FIFA World Cup 06 was probably the worst until I found out how to make the global challenges easier :p

I didnt actually break my 360 pad, but one of the screws holding the case together came out when I smashed it against my desk, so the bottom is now a bit wobbly. Bought a new pad to replace it though.

I know what you mean about NFSU, I find racing games to be the worst of the lot for turning the air blue, after the nightmare PGR2 was to get all plats, PGR3 was quite refreshing as it was a bit easier.

I thing the biggest ripper is after you have a anger fit you feel no better about it and possibly have to pay out for a new "something" due to it accidently getting broken ;) luckily my dad paid for the new door otherwise that would have been a 60quid hissy fit :)

There were times when Tekken would make me go almost berserk, especially when you've spent so much time learning all the moves just for your newbie button bashing mate to kick you're arse with Eddy Gordo :o

If you mean modifying the opponents team and giving them awful formations, then sadly I can't beat the last game even with that advantage, if you have any other tips then I would like to hear them :D

Nope, that was how I made it easier :D

Never mind, unforunatly with Brazil when you swap out the players you are basically swapping players with stats of 10/10 for players with 9/10.

For a minute there I thought you were going to give me a code which swaps Ronaldinho, Ronaldo and co for players from Soloman Islands and Honduras :D

Ah! FIFA WC 2006 Global Challenges.....

Some of those matches make my blood boil with rage!

I'm slowly making my way through them. Some are pretty easy others are just plain stupidly difficult.

People say that FIFA WC 2006 is a good game. I say play the global challenges and then all the things wrong with this game (tackling for a start) come to the fore.

Only tip I can give is just go 4-2-4 and flood the box. If you get in the lead and want to hold it, just go 4-5-1 and hit them on the counter.

I remember a similar thread to this a while back and someone actually BIT a pad in frustration at one game  :p :D

Am I the only person on the forum that doesnt get frustrated at games? when i play games im always calm and relaxed, if i cant do something i tend to pause the game, get up go do a jimmy riddle and grab a drink then get back to it.

Cant say ive ever lost my temper with a game :D

Paul ...

Well I have just sat there for another hour to try and do the last Global Challenge and still cant do it, I actually pulled the 2 goals back and went into extra time at 4-4 but the computer really turned it up and I went out on pens. :(

I take my hat off to you then mate, I really should learn to deal with it better, I find myself getting so wound up I have to sit there and give myself a reality check, at the end of the day its only a game. Thats what I keep telling myself :)

As good as the gamerscore system is I find it pushing me to do things I wouldnt normally do, I know that if I was doing global challenge on a PS2 version of fifa I would have given up by now, but the 500points keep making me come back. Sad I know :p

I think it comes down to that I dont like not being able to do something and being outsmarted by a pile of metal and plastic really grates with me, :D that and the fact that I am highly competitive is quite a bad mix really.

Most of the games i have fustrate me, the most i get is just swearing like a trooper. Top Spin2 and FN3 really really do my nut in, in fact i havent played those games for a good month or so.
Hitman is another that fustrates me but thats just due to me being silly and not paying really any attention:p.

Havent broken a controller yet....i dont get that violent...i just swear like crazy...even my gf has mentioned that shes never heard anyone say such filthy things over a game. Problem is she doesnt really understand how involved a person can get with a game. Sadly i just dropped her off at the airport so shes gone now and i can now enjoy my games the way i want to:p

I swear at games (and I almost never swear about anything else) but I don't tend to get violent with control pads.
Did nearly throw a phone out the window Saturday night in anger if that counts? :p

Need for Speed Underground series of games due to the catch-up feature in the single player game. I think that was the most recent as I haven't broken many since moving to PC gaming.

Used to break loads due to excessive SWoS gaming though. :o

If it was game related, then yeah it counts lol. For a bit of retro frustration I remember going round my neighbours and playing on his mega drive which incidently I thought was the dogs as I only had a master system  :D

I remember doing a level each on Sonic and getting to the very last level (this is before the level select cheat come out) and his cat pushing the door open and coming in, we didnt really thing nothing of it at first until it jumped on the mega drive and hit the reset button :D When you look back its quite funny but at the time it was majorly annoying.
