Hello,
I've not played any of the Monkey island games before would
Tales of Monkey Island it's priced as £3.50 -86%
be a good game place to start from?
should i look at purchasing the other games before and starting from M.K.1 onwards, or could i just pick up T.M.I. and run with it?

i think i remeber some reviews for M.I. 3 & 4 saying they weren't particually good or not as popular

Play them in order, there's a small amount of story dependency. You'll be able to play it and enjoy it still, you just wouldn't get everything out of it possibly. There's a lot of throw back jokes to the old games in ToMI especially.

Reviews about Monkey Island 4 are just, it's not that great. Monkey island 3 is well worth playing though. Tales of MI starts after the third game with the fourth game ignored as far as story is concerned.

I've only played the first two, both the originals and remakes, I'll have to give the 3rd a go sometime, I've still got the CD's somewhere... :)

Thanks MikeHunt79 & orderoftheflame Will go have a look around for MI1&2 and see how i get on with them first before moving on to ToMI

I'd get the Special editions of both on Steam. Well worth it. :)

Well worth it as I say. :) It's the last true MI game from Lucasarts imo, and a lot of the story has carried over into the new ToMI.
