Well, talk about rude driver last night. I was driving down a slip road to join a dual carriage way and indicated to move to the left lane, but I actually needed to be in the right line, so as I could overtake a slower moving car, and also get in the right line for an upcoming round-a-bout and traffic light system.

So, I look in my rear view mirror, speed limit was 50, I was accelerating to 55 - 60, too fast really, as there was a round-a-bout coming, with signs saying "get in right lane" etc. There was car lights in the distance. I indicated, moved out and proceeded to go about my business.

Then, just as I was approaching the round-a-bout, this guy in a Ford focus decides to flash his lights, put his fingers up at me, for no reason. Obviously going too fast, and didn't like that I was in the lane I should have been in, overtaking anyhow, and going round the round-a-bout on the inside lane.

Ignored it, got to the second set of lights on the same round-a-bout, and they were turning red. I stopped, and he flashed his lights, rev'd his engine and stuck his fingers up at me.

Well, that was it. Talk about rude. I noticed that there was no one else waiting on this side of the lane but me and him, so when the lights went green, I put my foot on the brake, to light my brake lights, and did nothing else. He reversed, moved into the other lane, and overtook me. Let him get on with it really.

I just laughed, I have never seen anything so funny. Talk about impatience. I did nothing wrong. I indicated at all times, I got in the right lanes, I didn't cut traffic up. He was going too fast, didn't like me being there, and was mad that I didn't pull over, so I just infuriated him more by staying at the lights when it turned green.

But I was careful not to upset others, if there were other cars on that lane waiting to go, I wouldn’t have done it.

That is pretty funny but then it depends how long you were in the right lane before the round about, if you had a while to go I'd have moved out of his way

Absolutely, but there wasn’t enough upcoming road to really move over safely. I needed to be in that lane or else I’d have missed the turning I needed to enter another carriageway. I indicated, he was quite far back when I looked in the mirror, so moved over. It’s a bad bit of road I know, but he was speeding for sure. Even I had accelerated hard, the limit is actually 50, and the road has specs further down before the slip road where I entered.

I can only hope he has been caught. Idiot..
