Well guys i've been hit with a bit of nostalgia as of late and fancy reliving my "Yoof" with a mk2 xr2

yes i know slow rough old lukewarm hatch, but I grew up with these(owned at least a dozen) and for whatever reason I want one.


Want as close to standard as possible(cept a slight drop and a PLR exhaust.) and really just want ocuk to tell me i'm stupid and I shouldnt do it :)

I rolled my mums pristine D reg XR2 on mothers day of all days! :o

Talk you out of one? Not a chance!

They sound great, cost buttons to maintain and take abuse well.

Tidy examples hard to find, get one & enjoy it.

Security is a must, they have none, and are very easy pickings for the scumbag's.

With the above in mind, check its history, most have been rolled at some time in their lives! :o :D

hes on the lookout for one for exactly the same reason.

i had one and loved it a few years back...

monroe sensatrac shocks, boge springs and ashley 4-1 rally system with a K&N. loved it. :D

i want another one, its just hard to find one thats not a rotbox. :(

I know where i can get a near mint shell for peanuts so will probably build one(got enough vits in the shed for all the mechanicals just need to find trim and interior

No way will I talk you out of getting one. I love XR2's. I had one as my first car It was brilliant fun. :D :cool:

I had one - its was a minter until some chav tried to steal it :mad:

Was standard (bar an Ashley system on it) with 50k.

Loved it - so fun to drive!

About 105 bhp from a carbed 1.6 CVH and 0-60 of around 9 seconds I suppose? Not really a stat whore any more so I might be wrong.
 
Buy one :D I got one and i doubt id ever part with it! :D Awesome fun, like go karts even standard! If you got the knowledge, drop either an RST lump into it or a zetec and feel the fun extend some more! :p

92bhp for the unleaded lean-burn and 98bhp i think for the old hippy destroying lead burner.

I don't care what the stats are tho she she is very light and nips on pretty well. :cool:

looking at a rather nice mk1 at the mo... but i prefer the mk2s :D

My dad still rants about XR2s...Calls them criminally underrated rust buckets.

He had a mint silver one (B907 RKS) when I was a kid; Ashley exhaust, big carbs, Fast road cam and head...Orsum stuff.
