talk talk and zonealarm not compatible?

hi i have zonealarm non pro and talk talk connection through phone line.

zonealarm stops talk talk connecting before it has a chance and only way is to shut down zonealarm, right click and connect on the talk talk connection and then restart zonealarm and its fine.

any suggestions?

dont worry about it... think its coz its adsl and so you need to manually start the connection when window starts. im used to broadband which just connects straight away.

With a USB modem you need to "dial". It's not inherent to ADSL.

kinda figured that... took me an hour though coz i thought i'd locked zonealarm somehow and couldnt quite put my finger on why... figured it must be ADSL coz its a phone line.

got there in the end and thanks for confirming my thoughts.
