Hey

So, wife wants me to get rid of the desk and monitor because I don't use it much.

But it is, and always will be, my baby :D still spend money on it, when I don't even use it hahaha

Long story short.

14900kf
4070ti
Usually game at 1440
High refresh rate I can't tell the difference, but 100hz at least or I can tell

What 65" TV should I get? LG c4 ? Something else? Not much normal TV use.
Thanks chaps

I made the switch from a pc to console (ps5) five years ago.

It's fine. I don't game for as long, usually an hour max, but it's convenient.

The only thing I miss are games like Kerbal where you really do need a mouse and keyboard and to be close to the screen.

I'll put the pc in the front room. I don't like consoles really. So I need a good pc gaming tv

Sorry I misunderstood, I thought you were doing away with the pc altogether.

So would you essentially be sat away from the TV reclining on a sofa?

I can't see how that would work with a mouse and keyboard.

The B4 might be better, and cheaper if it's mostly for gaming. Well not better but cheaper and virtually no difference.

I tried sofa gaming on PC once, found it a horrific experience. It was awkward, it felt cluttered and such a large proportion of the games I liked just didn’t work in that situation. I gave up after 3 days and went to console gaming, absolute breath of fresh air. For me, PC’s will always need a proper desk setup.

It can work, probably not best results if competitive gaming, but a wireless keyboard and mouse and a glass mousepad.

Keyboard on lap, pad and mouse on the sofa to your side - the wife likes to use a cushion under the mousepad, but I prefer straight on sofa. Pohtaetoe -potahtow- and for most games though, PlayStation controller.

Yeah the keyboard and mouse thing will be the main issue. There's only a few games I like playing with a pad.

I'll take a look at the B4 as well

Thanks chaps

Ok but in it's place put a 9.4.4 AV pre power system. Something like this, or even more expensive

Serious question, does your wife know that the desk and monitor would be replaced by a massive TV at least 4 times the size of the monitor and she'll now how have a PC just sat on the floor next to it?

Hahaha the TV is already there. But I'll need a better one because it's only 60hz

She doesn't know about the pc yet tho, need to find a nice spot for that hahaha
