You would have thought ordering a phone is a simple task but no somehow these two companies have managed to mess things up.
I ordered a phone Wednesday morning about 10am and I get a confirmation email soon after.
I receive nothing the following day and this morning I get a text at 5:45 (bunch of tinkers) and receive a tracking number.
Lo and behold the tracking number doesn't work, tried using the yodel track my parcel tool and it says that it was delivered in Northampton September 2011!
So I ring talkmobile and they took my details and tried to talk to Yodel. I was put on hold for not too long about 20 minutes and the talkmobile representative came back saying that the Yodel person wasn't very helpful and that the tracking number is wrong.
I decided the next step was to talk to Yodel myself, that achieved bugger all. Their customer service staff were very rude and cut me off when transferring departments and the bint on the other end made me spend 5 minutes waiting to just tell me that the tracking number is wrong.
I know that! I freakin told you that in the first place. If they wanted to check again it doesn't take 5 minutes.
Turns out they couldn't do anything and blamed the provider.
I know the saying "Fine words butter no parsnips" can be used in this case because at the end of the day words of reassurance won't guarantee the phone landing on my doorstep, but at least they could show some sort of sympathy or apology.
At this point I felt like a pinball, going back and forth. I kept my cool and rang talkmobile.
The end result is they don't know if my phone will arrive today, they told me to order another phone. Great except they said it would take longer for some bizarre and unknown reason. Oh and another thing, I'm starting University next week.
