Hi all,

I've got TalkTalk full fibre. Been working fine for ages, giving about 850mb/s

I use a mesh network to get some signal in the garage and again, been fine!

Today i'm down to 90mb whilst sitting next to the router. Spoke to TalkTalk and their script followers simply state I should use the Eero box that came with it and my router isn't compatible. Despite me getting 800 odd mb regularly for months.

Their own website shows you can use a 3rd party router. I just don't know how to setup the stuff they suggest.

I feel it's a setup issue on the router admin page but i've no idea what i've done or how to fix it

sorry, what does that mean? I'm really not great with this.
simply replace the ethernet cable into the node with a better one is that what you mean?
Yip. Replace the cable from the box on the wall into your main TP-Link. Also consider switching off the box on the wall for 30 seconds along with the router. Could be a weird router bug.
