A friend of mine who only uses the net for email & the odd browsing has his phone calls with TalkTalk but is paying F2S for internet. Would it be cheaper for him to just migrate to TalkTalk broadband? Is Talk Talk still unreliable like when they first started or have they improved?

I had talk talk for ages before i moved and i was very very happy with the service.

The only reason i left them behind is my new house had no BT line so i had to go with VM

My mum has been on talk talk for a while (2 years I think) and she has only had a couple of issues over the time. First was with the Migration and second was the line locked up. Talk Talk support are nothing but script readers and I have a nack of getting them to hang up on me when it does go wrong as they want me to create a windows dial up connection when using a router

....they want me to create a windows dial up connection when using a router

I had that... He didn't seem to grasp the fact I had a router not a modem!! :D

I've only had 2 problems (with the one above being a 'solution') both were in the first couple of months!... I'm quite happy and now my exchange had been upgraded I've gone from 1.1mb to 3.2mb overnight!!

Only other problem I had was some interference on the voice side of the line after upgrading.. but thats been sorted by BT
