Can you recommend a nice 2.1 setup for around £200 to £300?

It is for a living room lcd / skyhd / apple tv setup. The television is made by Sony, not sure on the exact size but around 40".

I'm looking for something that integrates all of these together but I'm not sure how you would best do it as I've never looked in to this before.

The speakers need to be tall and thin to keep the mrs happy. I suppose I could look at small speakers on thin stands but I'm not sure I like the look of those.

Volume isn't a key feature so they don't need massive power, I'd rather have clarity as I'll never turn it up that much in the living room. The house is detached though so if they go loud as well as being clear that would be a bonus.

The sound coming from them will mostly be (in order or priority) tv programs and films (really not bothered about 5.1 due to the mess of wiring it all in) and music now and again through the apple tv.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Edit: this is the sort of speakers I'm meaning

Personally I find a lot of all the all in one units a bit of a comprimise.Ive tried the samsung and panasonic unit and was left pretty unimpressed, they are expensive for what they are and lack real punch.

I was in the same predicamnt, and managed to source some used Kef Eggs.keep an eye out on ebay, you can pick em up for £150 or so, couple that with a yamaha or Onkyo amp and you have a corking system for your budget.
