Going to Tallinn for 6 days from next week (Friday to Wednesday). Staying in a hotel in the old town.

Any recommendations for food, drink, hidden gems or places to avoid?

In particular any bars with live music (indie/acoustic/rock) etc and places with a good vibe and good beer in the evening.

Cheers :)

Like most places, the Main Square is nice to visit, but expensive to eat and drink. There are loads of places off the square that are excellent and better priced.

KGB museum was interesting - not very big, but was worth a visit. The old town was a nice walk.

I had a good steak in the Goodwin Steakhouse and a fantastic Indian at Chakra.

Been a few years since i was in Tallinn, but i thought it was beautiful.

Long time since I have been so cannot really make any food suggestions. As above it's a very nice city with nice walks and very pretty. We actually flew in/out of Helsinki and stayed 1 or 2 night in both, I would recommend getting the high speed ferry over.
