Tamron 70-300 VC

Looking at purchasing the Tamron 70-300vc lens to use on a Nikon D7100.

Main purpose would be events photography.

Current lens's i own.

Nikon 50mm 1.8G
Tamron 24-70mm 2.8

Can't really afford the 70-200 2.8 which i would prefer so for time being looking 70-300.

Any thoughts?

around another £140 on top of the tamron lens, i think the wife will shoot me if i went Nikon

Cant comment on the speed of the VC verses the Nikon as I don't own one but for me the Tamron is great.

I actually managed to find it for an additional £95 compared to the £140 additional that i have seen in most places

It arrived an hour ago and have taken some great snaps so far.
