Tamron G2 updates..

Just went to get a Tamron 24-70 f/2.8 and they are out of stock everywhere.

Apparently, unknown to me, there's a a G2 range which don't seem to have filtered down to the high street yet. I wonderred why they were sellig these under £600 a few months ago...

Still coming in cheaper than the Canon L equivalent and with 5-stop IS, looks interesting.

Didn't know there was a G2, I've had a Mk1 for a few years now and while I don't use it often due to using primes it's the one I pick up to use unless I want to use a circ-pol on my Canon version.

I have the Nikon version of the Tamron 24-70 f2.8 G2.

I love it, the IS is fantastic. Downside is it's quite heavy and takes 82mm filters (previously mine were 77mm). Worth every penny imo.
