More madness coming out of Cardiff tonight. Following the ridiculous statement issued by Tan in response to Mackay stating he wants to sign a couple of players in January, it's being reported tonight that Tan emailed Mackay to tell him to resign or that he'll be sacked:

As I said in the banter thread the other day, the likes of Vincent Tan are the exact reason why football clubs shouldn't be privately owned.

Yea, I was thinking that he's done Mackay no favours. That said, I think Mackay's just waiting to be sacked to get his pay-off and equally Tan's desperately trying to get him to jump so he doesn't have to pay him off.

edit: I just hope he doesn't get sacked on Sunday. Suarez has already been blamed for bringing diving to England, if another manager gets sacked on the back of his genius he'll get blamed for unemployment levels too.

DM do you believe that the owner wouldn't have known, if not even had to sign off, those transfers? The overspending stuff is a crock of ****.

You love defending controversial owners, don't you? Hicks & Gillette, Ashley and now Tan. What do you make of the guy at Hull?

The BBC are now reporting that Tan is currently deciding whether to sack Mackay now or after the Liverpool game.

How many more things is he going to try to get Mackay to quit?

He doesn't want to sack him. I'm hoping 5 minutes before kick off he walks in and demands that Mackay picks him in goal.
