which type of tape backup is the best?
there are so many, also is usb or scsi better?

If scsi, which card is the best?

Depends primarily on the amount of data you want to backup, and the size of your backup window (ie, how long you have to do it). What we talking?

As Otacon asked the time window will determine your needs (if it can run overnight it doesn't need to be as quick and you won't neccesarrily need a SCSI setup)

20 gig roughly
Daily on tape and weekly onto a hard disk.

Logic seems a bit twisted there. You should really be backing up to disk and archiving to tape, not the other way around. It's more cost, and time effective.

I see,

I think daily tape will be a better idea,
which setup is ideal?

If it were me, I'd be backing up onto a HD each night, then a tape backup every week.

Perhaps consider burning permanent backups to DVD, on a bi-monthly basis?
