Ok I have tree truck legs and a chest like a pigeon, unlike everyone else at my gym who have monkeys arms and sparrows legs :D – my arms and shoulders for some reason have not grown in proportion to the rest of me in my first 12 months of body building…

Anyway I really want to spend the next 4 months working my arms shoulders, I have joined a abs and back class, to help with that, but the arms and shoulders is going to be me at the gym, so after your ideas on a varied workout for a few months

Thanks in advance

Whats a "tree truck" and wtf do its legs look like?!?!?

:D

Do you play football or run? I've got a mate with massive quads from playing football but a small upper body. It's pure genetics.

Not sure joining an "abs and back" class will be the answer. Won't you be training with a load of girls? Whilst its good for motivation ;) I can't see the class doing any weighted pull-ups or heavy rows!

yeah i cycle and run / fottball.

the back and abs is to take care of the rest of me, i'm free for a solid arms and shoulders work out!

In my rather humble opinion a back and abs class isn't going to give you results you are looking for. You back is a huge muscle group and training it hard will work your arms, specifically your biceps. Most gym classes are run by girls for girls :p

What training do you do for chest?

Incidentally I always think of "being pigeon chested" as referring to those without a chest who either have a pronounced roundness to either rib cage or who puff their chest out to make up for a lack of muscle mass. Either way it's not a saying I would associate with having a big, powerful chest.

Big arms and chest = Heavy Heavy pressing (Close Grip for tri's) / Heavy Heavy weighted dips / Heavy Heavy Squats.
Nah... dumbell kickbacks and pec-dec flyes all the way!!! :p

You'll look like a 'toned' Adonis in weeks :D

and if you throw in 300 situps per night, you can turn any fat you have into muscle. :D ;)

right....

legs - great
chest - great
back - great
tunny - poor, but working on that in various ways (under control)
arms and shoulder - ok but not in line with the rest of the body - HELP wanted!

Are you sure your legs are not just fat ? :P

<hides>

In all seriousness your gonna see more growth by just concentrating on the core exercises than any specialized upper body work out.

na i'm very proud of them, they are solid - envy of the gym....

tbh we are still lacking your current routine, we need to know what you are doing.

an abs and back class is no substitute for proper back workout to compliment your upcoming chest workouts.

What are these abs and back classes?
Is it a ladies gym?
Would do as The Judge says and do some close grip bench pressing etc, would probably be best for you to give us an approximation on what you do though.

well the abs and back class is just a extra little thing, i swim, cyle and do various situp work outs,

with the amrs and shoulder, i do free dumbells, pull ups and bench pressing, i don't really know what the diffirent ones i do are called, i'm quite new to the weights thing!
