Targets and commission question

Morning!

I have tried searching online but I cant find a clear answer. In short I have a job where I have a monthly target. The target is always ALWAYS late...for eg I don't know what my target is for this month and we are coming to the end of it.

Is there some kind of law/rule when it comes to when I should receive my target. I know they are supposed to be "Clear and fair" but I cant see anything on the usual website to clear it up and to confirm if that's correct.

Any help appreciated.

Is there nothing in your contract that states this?

Unless it's a fixed target every month, i'd probably be bringing this up with my manager to ask how are you supposed to know what your target for the month is if you don't get the target until the end of that month.

Nothing concrete no. The targets are supposed to be based on the years budget so in theory should be in concrete...the main issue being that group i manage has gone from being worth 2mil to nearly 4 so its changing all the time.

We brought it up with the MD previously and we were absolutely nailed by the departments director. I have asked and just get the usual "they'll be with you soon".

Agree completely but then we are just told "you should always do as high as possible every day anyway" Its not really as easy as that lol.

That sounds like bull**** of course you aim as high as possible, but how can you be measured or anything if you get undefined targets? Is your remuneration based on these targets?
