task bar

Just built a new computer mostly from the bits I had kicking around. Got a problem, task bar is stuck on "hide when inactive" & I can't change it. Any ideas anyone?

Do you mean the system tray/notifacation area?

Try right clicking START > PROPERTIES > and uncheck HIDE INACTIVE ICONS

The icons at bottom right that you can change in START - properties - taskbar - customize. Whatever I do it's on "Hide when inactive".

yes can tick/untick Hide when inactive but makes no difference
