Since installing my capture card, occasionally a few things in windows refuse to work, start menu, alt-tabbing to show all open windows, even double clicking a picture won't open picture viewer, have to right click and open with. When it does this, rebooting or logging off will show that message.
Just logging out and then signing back in will fix it. Issue started after installing capture card, I've tried reinstalling the drivers.
It's an elgato hd60pro, I've searched and can't find any issues specifically with the card/drivers, I can find plenty of people complaining about the same thing/message with windows 10 1709 (I'm on that) and the same symptoms , I've tried the fixes there (switch off use my sign in info to finish setting up a device) and still occasionally does it. I've only been on 1709 for about a month, but it was fine till I installed the card. Signing out then back in always fixes it, but it's still annoying.
The only other thing I can add is ever since going to 1709, windows makes the noise you get when plugging in/unplugging usb devices, once when it gets to the desktop. It's been doing it ever since 1709, but unless I didn't notice, it's not been having the above issue until the capture card.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
