Recently Upgraded my Motherboard but using the same Pentium D 830 CPU but only just noticed that windows task manager only shows one core, although Device Manager shows two cores as well as POST screen on startup, I can tell only one core is being used as High Definition Video playback uses twice as much CPU usage as before.., anyone know how I can fix this? no option in BIOS to enable/disable 2nd core, also could the problem be down to a poor BIOS since the motherboard is fairly new..., tried upgrading to Beta BIOS but no luck, also no BIOS to downgrade to, Motherboard uses Intel 945P chipset which supports Pentium D...
Motherboard: Asus P5LD2 Revision 2.0

Using same hardware as before except motherboard of course, but just a VFD display, Superdisk Drive and Capture card added.., also have flicked the switch on my Tagan CPU to set Current to Split instead of combined to supply more current to system..., don't think it is power related though...
