Task manager wont show up?

My task manager will not show up when i control alt and del. When i try to open it through the other way i get this message. windows cannot find c\windows\system32\taskmfr.exe? i have ran virus scans and spy bot as well as windows defender i have have zero problems.

Well that's interesting because it's actually called taskmgr.

Try running taskmgr / taskmgr.exe

Can you see taskmgr.exe in c:\windows\system32\

Try seaching for taskmgr.exe

Its in there yes but gives me the same error message wtf is going on.

Try renaming taskmgr.exe and then running it.

ffs when i try to rename it i get message saying you require permission from trustedInstaller to make changes to this file. i am the admin ffs.

Not sure if Windows .exe's are included in the scan but go to Start>Run and type in "sfc /scannow" without the quotes and let Windows check the integirty of system files. Worth a shot

Is this Windows 7? How did you install it? Is this just recent problem or has the system been working prior?

Its windows 7 yes it was fine to begin with. i was looking about and seems someone has similar problem as me. when i boot up i get this pop up Initdsk.exe has stopped working?

I assume you mean antimalware, try superantispyware, its very effective, some infection will block the download however, and you'll have to stick it on a usb stick and install from there.
