So I just switched to having my taskbar at the top (fancied a change, I use linux as well so may as well just get used to one system).

Now I've only been using firefox and itunes. Firefox is no problem, but itunes maximises right to the very top (i.e. the top of the itunes window, play etc. and the maximise/minimise buttons are now under the taskbar...

Any way to solve this? Stupid apple....

lolitunes

sorry i don't have anything contstructive to add but that's just ridiculously poor programming from apple. my only suggestion would be to report it to them. they must have forums or a feeback page or something.

I have the Task Bar at the top and use Auto Hide, so even if a program expands into the task bar area you can still get the buttons, also gives you a bit more screen space for other programs.

lolitunes indeed. It's a POS.

I'm not really a fan of auto hide, just don't get on with it. I am currently on ubuntu 11.04 and the toolbar on the left auto-hides which is a pain too!

If you don't want to auto-hide the taskbar, once you've maximized itunes, press ALT+SPACE - that'll bring up the old-skool windows menu (minus icon, top-left hand side in win 3.1 etc - the menu click feature is still there too, but the icon isn't visible any more) that had the restore/maximize/minimize etc... once you've maximized it, press alt+space then press R (or click restore on the menu that pops up)

Also, as said, report it to crapple and they can fix it (if you're lucky!)

Hope this helps!
