Taskbar Network Monitor for Windows 8

Hey all,

I recently installed Windows 8, and unfortunately one of my favourite initial installs is not compatible; this is "NetSpeedMonitor", a short review of which can be seen here.

I really want to find a similar application, however there doesn't seem to be one.

Any ideas?

Nothing I know of for the taskbar, but you can get Windows 7 sidebar working on Windows 8:

...and use the Network Meter from www.addgadgets.com?

Just tried installing it and got it working fine, not sure what you did wrong.

Per the FAQ use compatibility mode for the install, then right click task bar, toolbars then NetSpeedMonitor shows up and works fine.
