Taskbar

Has completly dissapeared from the desktop any ideas im tearing my hair out here .

when i try and go into settings it doesnt load taskbar settings either .... windows XP imb . need help fast this pc has a poker clock on and i have 120 runners in here with this pc unaccesable ! cheers

if you bring up task manager (ctrl-alt-del), is the explorer.exe process there? if not start it using file>run.

if explorer.exe is running but you have no taskbar, what happens if you press the windows key on your keyboard? (the start menu should pop out)

if i press windows key nothing happens also tried ESC + CTRL

EXPLORER is running and also Iexplore .

have you installed any software/drivers recently? something that may cause this? tried pressing f8 on startup and choose 'last known good configuration'. or you could boot into safe mode and remove any recently installed stuff?

It deffo has to be explorer.exe

iexplorer - Internet

I have juste ended my explorer and taskbar goes, typed explorer.exe and got it...

tried last known cfg .... didnt do anything .

explorer is running , and no new software installed .

What happened was one of the guys has moved it however its completly went of the screen and now I dont understand why this has stopped the windows button working or settings from loading up , its very bizzare .
