After doing a clean install of Windows 7 and all my programs I keep getting an annoying command window labelled 'taskeng.exe' popping up. It runs through some text and then disappears in a fraction of a second before I have had the chance to read it. Is there any way of getting this window to stop open after it pops up, in order to give me the chance to read what the problem is?
I have already read about potential taskeng.exe viruses and have done the necessary antivirus scans and have checked the source of the exe file in task manager. I have also checked for any known troublesome windows updates and office settings etc and all seems ok. I just need to read what is on this window if I can find a way to keep the thing open.
BTW: Yes there was a good reason for reinstalling Windows 7 so no Windows 10/11 recommendations please.
